From Warped Tours to World Tours, Sugarcult have toured relentlessly for the past 8 years - building a dedicated domestic and international following. Sugarcult have performed as the opening act on Green Day’s American Idiot tour (in US and Japan), on the mainstage of Warped Tour ‘01 ‘02 & ‘04, on the main stages of legendary UK festivals - Reading, Leeds, and Glastonbury; at Japan’s Summer Sonic Festival; at both Bamboozles, at Voodoo Music Festival, as well as headlined the Take Action Tour , Virgin College Mega Tour and their own successful club & theatre tours. Sugarcult have released three albums (Start Static, Palm Trees and Power Lines, Lights Out) selling a cumulative one million albums worldwide.

The show benefits Toys for Tots. To participate, fans are encouraged to bring an unwrapped toy to the Toys for Tots booth at the show, which in turn will be given to children in need for the holidays.

Happy Summer to all!! Besides various shows with Sugarcult (mostly University shows and private events), the four bandmembers have been indulging in individual projects too. This will only make Sugarcult stronger; so, hopefully there will be some new Sugarcult music coming down the pike.
Here’s a brief run down and have fun seeking it all out online too if you’re interested in learning more:
Tim: Producing songs for some great up-and-coming bands (Neon Trees, Them Terribles, and Vogue In The Movement)
Airin: now touring with Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros (who just released their debut album) an experimental band that features enigmatic IMA Robot singer Alex Ebert. Airin also recently returned from a UK tour filling in on bass for the band Oh No Not Stereo.
Kenny: started his own custom drum company, LTD Drums, and put out a record with his country-rock band Good Man Down, who are also out playing some shows.
Marko: put out a record & toured Japan and Texas with side-band The Playing Favorites; doing some writing and having a blast doing DJ gigs (from NYC to San Francisco to Mexico to Russia and beyond). Marko is also hosting a new music web TV show Monday nights live at 10pm on www.thestream.tv. You can follow Marko at Twitter too: www.twitter.com/SugarcultMarko. On Feb 18, 2009, Sugarcult will release REWIND 2001-2008 exclusively in Japan.
There are two versions of the release. REWIND is a greatest hits collection of 16 songs, including 1 previously unreleased song.
REWIND Deluxe Edition is a greatest hits collection of 15 songs PLUS 9 music videos, PLUS a 10 song DVD of a live concert performance in Tokyo.

From Marko: We are very proud of the fact that we’ve been together for 10 years so Rewind is really a way of celebrating the first decade of Sugarcult and all that we’ve accomplished beyond our wildest expectation! We started out in a small town (Santa Barbara, CA) playing in small clubs. With some hard work, good luck and the help of our supporters a few years later we were playing around the world to 1000’s of screaming fans that knew all the words to our songs. We wish you all the best for a great 2009 ahead!!
From Marko: Aside from an Australian tour and various one-off shows across the US, Sugarcult also spent part of 2008 exploring individual projects. I believe this will only make us stronger when we return; so, hopefully there will be some new Sugarcult music coming down the pike in 2009.
