We wish you all the best for a great 2009 ahead!!
From Marko: Aside from an Australian tour and various one-off shows across the US, Sugarcult also spent part of 2008 exploring individual projects. I believe this will only make us stronger when we return; so, hopefully there will be some new Sugarcult music coming down the pike in 2009. Here’s a brief run down and have fun seeking it all out on the internet, if you’re interested in learning more:
- Tim: Producing songs for some great up-and-coming bands (my personal favorites are: Them Terribles, and Vogue In The Movement)
- Airin: making a record with Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeroes, an experimental band that also features enigmatic IMA Robot singer Alex Ebert.
- Kenny: started his own custom drum company LTD Drums and put out a great record with his side-project, country-rock band Good Man Down.
- Me (Marko): put out record & toured Japan and USA with side-project band The Playing Favorites; working on book projects and having a blast doing my DJ gigs (possible DJ tour in works for 2009…stay tuned!)
